Alex Grace founded Spilled Grace after years of holding onto her story, uncertain of where to turn or whom to trust with such delicate subject matter. She had fears of being misunderstood and shamed, yet she discovered that grace had spilled onto her freely, without judgment of her imperfections, and her bravery soon overflowed unexpectedly.
Having treaded through the mud, with only heels and a story to share, Alex fought her battles and ultimately won the war. She truly understands what it feels like to be scared, untrusting, and vulnerable in a world filled with wolves who sought to silence her howl.
Her journey began with the declaration, "I have nothing to gain, but a hope for an end to the erosion of women's rights," as she spoke out against Texas politician Rep. Giovanni Capriglione of House District 98. This man presented himself as a loving husband and father with strong family values and Christian beliefs. He was the so-called "pro-life champion" who voted to defund Planned Parenthood and authored the Abortion Trigger Ban Bill, which outlawed nearly all abortions in Texas post-Roe. Additionally, he backed the heartbeat statute, allowing private citizens to sue anyone who "aids and abets" an unlawful abortion, including covering the costs. Constituents voiced their disappointment, stating, "you rammed through a 6-week abortion ban."
Alex Grace brought his questionable past to light, highlighting the unmatched hypocrisy of Capriglione, who had multiple affairs since 2005 and funded abortions for his own personal gain. She revealed his disturbing fantasies, including wanting to ejaculate into cookie batter for his daughters' bake-sale, so all the girls would unknowingly consume his semen.
While he admitted to his affairs and claimed his wife forgave him just hours after the story broke (hard side-eye), he adamantly denied the abortion allegations. His denials and responses to media inquiries stopped once a conservative right-wing media outlet, The Current Revolt, engaged polygrapher Eric J Holden, known for working with government officials in the DFW area. Alex would and did pass her polygraph with "flying colors," remaining truthful about his "laundry list of unethical and immoral behavior."
Just two days after learning that the story would be published, Capriglione announced on X (formerly Twitter) that, shortly after receiving Donald Trump's endorsement, he would not seek re-election and planned to finish his term before exiting the political arena for good. This solidified that one more dirty, corrupt, and immoral politician would no longer have the ability to undermine women's rights in a way that unconstitutionally eroded their freedoms.
